Family Remembers Son; Celebration of Life - KURT ALBERT PAGETT - Dec 1, 1969 to May 3, 2015

AS A young, strong man who adored animals, his friends and sports, it was disheartening to see Kurt Pagett motionless.

An incident at 18 left him blind and both mentally and physically incapacitated.

The only good that welled from this tragic and awful event was the unwavering love of his family and of his mother, Janet Pagett, of Urangan, and her twin sister, Margaret Barnes, of Scarness.

The former nursing assistants cared for Mr Pagett in their homes for more than 20 years.

Kurt Pagett, born in 1969 and aged 45, educated in Mount Isa and a former bakery worker in his young life, passed away on Sunday May 3, in the care of CentaCare in Hervey Bay.

Friends, family and all those who helped Mr Pagett in his times of need are invited to attend his funeral service today at 3pm.

The service will be held at the Salvation Army, 11 Roberston Street, Urangan, for a private cremation at J Kirk & Sons Hervey Bay Crematorium.

After the incident, Mr Pagett was helped by many in the local community who willingly volunteered their services in 'brain arousal therapy. …
