The Noosa Long Weekend Festival has teamed with the University of the Sunshine Coast to sponsor a series of provocative forums guaranteed to draw at least some attention away from the food and drink.

There will be no room for the faint-hearted when former Liberal leader John Hewson and Australian Conservation Council president Geoffrey Cousins go head to head with Professor Bob Carter of the Climate Change Sceptics Party and Des Moore of the Institute of Private Enterprise in a pre-lunch stoush at the Noosa J moderated by Gary Johns, the former Labor Member for Petrie, now columnist with The Australian and Adjunct Professor at QUT Business School. …
