FOR the past eight years Heath's Old Wares at Bangalow has been a Mecca for collectors of objects from a bygone era.

But on October 23, Ross and Eve Heath will move out of their iconic shed and shop tucked in behind Bangalow's main street shops.

Between now and then they will be staging possibly Australia's largest garage sale to reduce the quantity of objects they have to pack up and store while they look for new premises.

"We love the town, we love the people and we love the location," said Mrs Heath. "It's been a wonderful, wonderful experience, but the rent has gone up so we can't stay."

The couple has been in the collectibles business for 25 years and live in a house close by and work in the business full time.

They consider themselves lucky to have an occupation that is their life, their work and their passion. …
