What a Hummer! SUV Up the Creek

A CENTRAL Queensland motorist took the game stuck in the mud to the next level recently when he got his H3 Hummer bogged in Fishing Creek.

Yeppoon fisherman and boatie Steve Wilkinson posted photos to social media of the abandoned, near-new Hummer bogged upstream from Sandy Point in Fishing Creek, in the Farnborough area.

Mr Wilkinson said he posted the photos for safety reasons as due to its colour, the vehicle was a hazard to waterway users, and to identify an owner if the Hummer, which retails at about $50,000 new, was stolen.

"I was out fishing with my dad on Saturday morning in one of our usual spots and we saw a dark shape in the water," Mr Wilkinson said.

"We motored over to it and as we got close, we realised it was a vehicle.

"I didn't know it was a Hummer at the time because the water was up over it but I could tell it was a fairly new, nice looking vehicle.

"On Monday afternoon it was low tide and the curiosity got the better of me so I walked up and was shocked to see it was a Hummer. …
