OUR recent feature on Freddie the Dolphin sparked plenty of memories for Chronicle readers.

Freddie famously based himself in Amble harbour between 1987 and 1992 and attracted thousands of people, keen to see his aquatic antics.

Many others took to the water to swim with the playful creature.
