Mitch Gorman has risen from obscurity this season to fill one of the backline positions vacated by the exodus of the likes of Lollback, who is playing for Manly Wynnum Seagulls in the Queensland Cup on the back of his record 45-try season in 2014

The speedy winger dived over for two second-half tries in his side's 36-4 win over Orara Valley Axemen at McGuren Field on Sunday. The double moves his tally to 11 for the season.

The key to the 20-year-old's game is his pace and agility, which saw him represent Northern Eagles at the National Touch League earlier this year.

However, despite being part of the Reserve Grade side's 2014 premiership win, it was not until late in the season when he switched from hooker to the wing that he was truly able to exploit his strengths. …
