Frightening Pain Is the Price a Woman Pays for Plump Lips

EVERY woman wants a subtle look when it comes to having "work'' done, especially on the face.

Thank goodness the days of full facelifts have all but gone.

In the past we always knew when a friend disappeared off the scene for a few weeks without word that she would almost certainly reappear with a totally new and usually startled look.

The skin might have looked renewed but the eyes were stretched and slanting towards the top of the ears, the mouth was pulled tight in a frozen grimace and, in a word, she looked spooked.

Now work on the face is so subtle you can't always tell.

But I reckon there is one area where the work is as obvious as a Lady Gaga outfit. The lips.

It's a sad state of affairs if your once lovely lips have thinned to a skinny line giving you a mean look just because you've reached a certain age. It happens.

But it is an even sadder state of affairs if you appear at work one Monday morning with a set of plump luscious lovelies to have Angelina Jolie sick with envy. …
