Ole Gus is an 8-year-old male German shepherd mix. He gets along with other dogs but not cats. He is very playful and spunky for his age. He is neutered and current on shots. Meet him at Clay County Animal Care and Control, 3984 W. Florida 16, Green Cove Springs. The shelter closes at noon Saturday for a 1-4 p.m. kitten shower at the Fleming Island Adoption Center, 1809-4 Town Center Blvd. Regular hours at the main shelter: 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday; at the Fleming center, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday-Sunday. Liberty is a 10-year-old female short-hair cat. She is sweet and loving and needs lots of attention. Her adoption fee is sponsored by the Friends of the Pet Center. She is spayed and current on shots. Meet her at St. Johns County Pet Center, 130 N. Stratton Road, just off U.S. 1 in St. Augustine. Adoption hours are 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday. Gates close at 4 p.m. Saturday. Cat adoptions are normally $20 for males and $30 for females, dog adoptions are $35 for males and $50 for females, including neutering/spaying, rabies vaccinations and shots. Tink is a 15-month old female blue American pit bull terrier. She is energetic, sweet and loves people and giving kisses. She is a quick learner and knows how to sit for treats. She needs to go to a loving home where she can go slow meeting new dogs. She is spayed, microchipped, current on shots and vaccinated against rabies.
