What makes the Singapore: Inside Out experience feel immersive? Is it an interactive event? In Singapore: Inside Out (SG:IO), one enters a space to experience and discover the various encounters within. Yes, it is interactive. You can pick and choose from the 20 artists from various genres featured and enter their rooms to see, touch, hear, and even taste the work. For example, the culinary arts are on display in Janice Wong's room, where one can taste Singapore's local flavours; visitors can see visual artist Speak Cryptic drawing in his room (and are invited to help colour it in); and there is even a theatrical showcase that animates the stories of SG:IO artists.

How did you become involved with the showcase? SG:IO is an initiative led by the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) to showcase a lesser known aspect of Singapore - our creativity. As creative director, I lead the curatorial process for this wonderful showcase, a confluence of the many talents that Singapore has produced over the years. …
