Draw Gets the Trophy; Kody House and Chelsea Baker Help Queensland Retain Interstate Challenge Silverware against NSW

CHELSEA Baker never thought she would score Queensland's only points against New South Wales in the women's rugby league interstate challenge.

Baker crashed over for the four-pointer in the corner during the first half of the match played in Townsville.

The try regained the trophy for Baker's team.

She and fellow Gladstone player Kody House were making their debuts for the team.

New South Wales struck back late in the match to score a draw, meaning Queensland retained the trophy.

Baker said she would never forget the feeling of scoring for her state, but also had trouble telling people what it was like.

"Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would score our only points," she said.

"It was so amazing, I hope to do it again."

Baker described the match as the hardest she has ever played.

It was the first time she has played a full 80-minute match.

One of the players making it difficult for New South Wales was House, who at centre smashed a number of her opposing players in big tackles. …
