Clifford Park Punters Hoping Wait Will Be Worth It

TRAINER Ben Currie is hoping last-start beaten favourite Worth The Wait can add to the stable's stellar run of form at Clifford Park tomorrow before heading to the spelling paddock.

Worth The Wait went under by a nose as a $1.60 chance in last week's Clifford Park Class 2 (1625m) and is out to atone in tomorrow night's Hot FM Class 3 Plate (1625m).

Punters are likely to again throw their support behind the gelding this week while a win from Worth The Wait can continue Currie's recent run of success which sees him placed at the head of the Australian trainer's strike-rate list.

Racing website racenet.com.au reports Currie has a 41.2% strike race during the last 21 days following seven stable wins from 17 runners.

Michael, Wayne and John Hawkes are placed second on 33.3%.

"We've had a good run of late," Currie said yesterday.
