WOMEN: R'ton Souths 6 def Frenchville Rovers 0

ROCKHAMPTON Souths were too strong for Frenchville Rovers, defeating them comfortably 6-0 on Saturday at Kalka Shades.

Both teams were under strength, missing frontline players who were on duty for the under-18 Queensland championships, but the difference between the two teams was obvious.

The experience and class of Angela Farrow in Souths' midfield was telling. Farrow controlled the game superbly in midfield and helped her younger teammates dictate play for large parts of the match. Farrow also scored three goals, ably supported by Alyssa Andrews with two and Alex Buckley, who netted one.

"We played well and executed a very structured game," Souths' captain Lillian Elder said after the match.

"We bumped it around the whole team and I was delighted with how well we played off one another. …
