Records Fall as Players Find Top Form

RECORDS tumbled in the early rounds of the 2015 Bargara Junior Classic when some of the state's best young golfers found form on the picturesque coastal course.

There were some brilliant scores recorded on Tuesday with four players in the boys section bettering the old course record of 70.

Doug Klein (Redcliffe) on +3 shot the new mark of 65 with the other three best gross scores going to Ryan Swann (Want) 68, Lochi Coleman (Mount Coolum) and Jacob Lawson (Windaroo) 69.

In the girls section, Kate Law (Maryborough) equalled the course record with a well-crafted 75. Kooper Tonga and Zach Harrison from North Lakes had the best net score of the opening day with 64.

Law improved on her first round and shot 74 on a course she described as very good, and she said she wanted to relax before leading the field out in the final round today.

"I won't let the pressure get to me - I will just make it another day," Law said. …
