IT'S a house for all seasons and Joanne Pointon and her family have enjoyed moving around their spacious property to take full advantage of the changes of the year, as she explained. "We've lived here for 13 years and after living in a modern, new-build house, I was attracted to this because it was Edwardian.

"In the winter I like being in the front room with the coal fire on and I have to say that at Christmas the dining room comes into its own. It's a lovely house for that season with an open fire in the front room, very snug.

"In the summer my favourite place would be the day room because you can see the beautiful garden."

Spring and autumn can also be enjoyed in the private side garden, which has lawn, flower, tree and shrub borders and hedged and walled boundaries, and the extensive rear garden, similar in style to the side garden but with a raised patio sitting area. Both are reached via wroughtiron gates.

The property has the potential, subject to planning permission, for a separate dwelling to be built within the grounds.

The previous owners were keen gardeners and Joanne has kept up their green-fingered efforts with the help of a gardener. The house is on a corner plot and has a solid wood "around-the-corner" double garage and paved off-road parking for up to four cars.

Built right at the end of the elegant Edwardian era, in 1911, the house has a host of charming and original period features, plus a beautiful big hallway.

Joanne said: "We've got stained glass, original ceiling roses, deep skirting boards and the coal fire in the front room with a Minster fireplace plus an original fireplace in the dining room which has a gas fire in. The house has some quirky things in."

The house impresses from the outset, being entered via an imposing solid wood double door with leaded stained glass inserts leading to the beautiful big hallway. …
