ALMOST every female friend I asked declined coming to see Magic Mike XXL with me but - surprise, surprise - I found comments about the film in their Facebook pages over the weekend.

Is Magic Mike XXL the ultimate guilty pleasure for women?

Three years after Mike bowed out of the stripper life at the top of his game, he and the remaining Kings of Tampa hit the road to Myrtle Beach to put on one last blow-out performance.

So in this version, Dallas (Matthew McConaughey) and Adam (Alex Pettyfer) have gone their separate ways.

The absence of both Dallas and Adam allows characters like Big Dick Richie (Manganiello) and Tarzan (Kevin Nash) to jump to the forefront and have a bit of fun, instead of the soul-searching saga the first film set out to be.

They had so much fun they even allowed the choreographer of both films, Alison Faulk, to enjoy a playful but brief appearance on screen wearing a helmet and a bikini as the ethereal White Shadow.

We went in expecting to be the only men in the cinema, get bored easily and running out of things to say about this film after abs and pecs, but we were very wrong. …
