Watson Hoping for Ruck; Capras Utility Aaron Looking for Luck to Fall the Team's Way in Gladstone to Help His Up and Down Year

"IT WOULD be the weirdest season I have ever played. When I am back at Valleys I am hooker or half and when I play Queensland Cup I go with a different mindset off the bench."

Aaron Watson's rugby league season is easier to describe as a yo-yo than one of consistent football.

After beginning the year with the CQ Capras and a win, after a couple of matches Watson was relegated back to his Valleys side in the Gladstone competition.

Ever since, the versatile player has made more changes between the sides than parents change a baby's nappy.

But he says progress has been made.

"Definitely with the experience and training with the cup boys, that has really helped to get rid of the flaws," Watson said.

"It is a lot of controlling the ruck and getting good contact in tackles."

It is a part of the game Watson has always worked hard at, watching smaller players like himself dominate in the NRL. …
