Computer Firm Keeps It in the Family to Celebrate 25th Year

FAMILY computer business Cavtec is celebrating its 25th anniversary with record returns. Latest figures show a turnover of nearly PS1m in the last financial year - a major step forward for a company that only started with three people and has now quadrupled to 12 staff.

Cavtec, which is based in 25,000sq ft offices at Kenton Bankfoot, Newcastle, specialises in business solutions and supplies computer systems and networks alongside comprehensive support services.

Services include an on-site workshop for the maintenance and repair of computer systems, laptops and printers for home and business.

The business is run by managing director Ray Cave with the help of his sons Matthew and Stuart, brother Andy, and wife Sarah, along with other employees. It also has an office in East Grinstead, south London.

Mr Cave said: "We are delighted to be in our 25th year in business.

"It is a remarkable milestone and we are very proud to have sustained a very loyal and expanding customer base. …
