NEW mother Leisa Hehir lost her courageous battle with secondary breast cancer just over a month ago.

She had been battling the disease since 2009.

Even though she was fighting for her life, Leisa was selflessly thinking of others.

She threw herself into raising money for the Cancer Council, starting just after her diagnosis, and organising the first Pink PJ Party all on her own.

The event netted more than $3000 for the charity.

Last year, she participated in the Breast Cancer Mother's Day Walk as well as fielding a team for the Relay for Life, called "Hold.On.Pain.Ends".

She walked the 50 laps of the relay with a fractured hip; a true testament to her strength and determination.

Earlier this year, she enlisted the help of Tamara Sparreboom and a few others, to help her with organising another Pink PJ Party.

This event is still going ahead, even though Leisa will not be there to see it happen, and Tamara thinks that this legacy would be just what she wanted. …
