Heat Women Need Win; Cooloola Combination Primed to Tame Rebels and Stay on Track for Finals

HOCKEY: The Cooloola Heat women will aim to secure a win at home against the Buderim Rebels tomorrow to remain in third position heading in to the pointy end of the season.

Tomorrow will be the Heat's last home game for the year and the girls are hoping for the support of a big home crowd.

Heat coach Ben Fitzpatrick said the competition is tight with only a couple of points separating the teams.

"We need to win to keep our position," he said.

The Heat is sitting in third with only two points separating them from Rebels in fifth.

With four games to go in the Sunshine Coast Hockey season, the next few games are crucial if the Heat want to compete in the finals.

The team will miss experienced players and mothers Belinda Baker and Lesley Fitzpatrick as they will be attending an under-11 carnival in Brisbane this weekend.

Karlie Browne will also be away for tomorrow's game as she will be supporting her brother playing in the national carnival. …
