Allora to Meet over Grainx Noise, Dust

RESIDENTS of Allora are invited to attend an open meeting to discuss the ongoing complaints about the operations of Grainx.

Locals have made complaints to the council regarding the noise and dust arising from the company's site.

Grainx opened in Allora in 2011 and has since caused significant issues for the town's residents.

Residents have previously told the Daily News about the levels of dust getting into homes and water.

Director of the Darling Downs Public Health Unit Dr Penny Hutchinson said there were ways to filter the dust from the water.

"If they use a filter on their rainwater, which they should already, it should help remove the dust," she said.

Owner Chris Hood has also previously stated that he tried to keep his operating hours between the normal work hours of residents. …
