Baby Won't Wait; Just 12 Minutes after Her Waters Broke, Kym Manning Gave Birth

LITTLE Benjamin was so eager to meet his parents he was born just 12 minutes after Kym Manning's water broke.

Weighing just 3120g, Benjamin George Manning was welcomed into the world at the Gladstone Hospital at 1.43 am on Monday.

Mrs Manning said although it had seemed very strange, she was glad how quickly her ordeal was over.

"I was only in labour for about three hours, they broke my waters and next thing I know I'm holding my little baby boy," she said.

"It was so different with his sister Charlotte; I was in labour for 14 hours with her. I wasn't expecting it to be so quick this time."

Mrs Manning said they chose 'Benjamin' as a traditional name. "His middle name, George, runs in his father's family, and hopefully we can continue the tradition for generations to come," she said. …
