Harris Farm Shows Top Form; Vincent Set to Start Career with a Bang

IN GREYHOUND racing it always pays to stick with greyhounds which have been racing in good recent form and the same can also be said for following trainers who have tasted recent success.

One such trainer is the local mentor Evelyn Harris who has been right in the thick of things of late leading in numerous winners on all of the Northern Rivers tracks.

This evening Evelyn will rug up no less than six runners which could inflate to nine should scratchings go her way allowing three of her reserve runners an opportunity to strut their stuff at a very strong Grafton Greyhound race meeting tonight.

Only last week the Harris kennel led in two long priced winners here at Grafton when Tilly Bonus saluted at the nice odds of $15.00 while All Pure Magic paid even better at a whopping $23.90 on the NSW TAB.

The team then ventured to Casino on Friday with another two winners being the result with Dark Sprite $5.30 and Black Lee Bonus $2.80 proving too good for their opposition.

While Tilly Bonus will have a well earned night off it will be All Pure Magic which will carry the kennel's hopes in the Clocktower Hotel sprint final which highlights the night of racing.

In a strong field the daughter of Magic Sprite and Display Bonus is likely to start at long odds once again. However with a good turn of early toe she is not without her chances in a very even final field.

Perhaps the best boxed runner is the Sonia Kempshall trained Cheeky Maxi which does not look poorly drawn out in box 8 and he does look the runner to beat based on his consistent recent form at the track.

The runner which is most likely to start at the shortest priced odds for the Harris kennel is the first starter Vincent, who should go to the boxes as the favourite in his heat of the Caldwell Electrical Maiden Series of which there are three heats.

Vincent is the veteran of just one performance trial which was here at Grafton just last week and he was quite impressive in his 23. …
