ONE of the fashions of today does very little for the onlooker, and most certainly less for the owner.

I wonder if the wearers of those jeans which sport a dropped crotch and sagging rear, have any idea just how unattractive they really look.

I have always taken an interest in fashions from my teenage years to the present time, and yes I have been around for quite a few decades, but even so, still like to look and dress well.

In the early 50s the lads and lasses all looked so well groomed. Smart outfits, attractive hairstyles, well-toned cosmetics, the majority were skinny due to rationing, but no one looked like a tramp.

We hadn't a fraction of the cash young people have today, hand-me-downs were a godsend. We were grateful for them since new clothes needed clothing coupons.
