Town Hoping for a Happy Anniversary at the Weekend

STOCKTON Town will hit the double century mark tomorrow when they play their 200th Wearside League game at home to Boldon CA.

Last season's quadruple winners have won 147 of the 199 league games they have played, losing 33 and drawing 19 of the others, and have averaged 2.69 goals per game.

Town are currently third in the league behind leaders Sunderland West End and second-placed Redcar Athletic and will look to keep the pressure on with a fifth home win of the new campaign.

Stockton will be without James Ward and possibly striker Kallum Hannah, who tweaked a muscle in the champions' last midweek game at Hartlepool and as a result was absent from last Saturday's 2-0 victory at Prudhoe Town.

If Hannah fails to recover in time for tomorrow, manager Michael Dunwell will pick either Ben Priestley or Joe Scaife-Wheatley to partner Tony Johnson up front.

One player who defi-nitely returns to strengthen the Stockton squad is former Billingham Town midfielder Matty Garbutt, who is back from holiday. …
