STAR performer Chelsie Schweers could have filled an extra suitcase with all the awards she took back to the United States with her.

However, Ipswich Force coach Brad George hopes she can return to the team after her off-season stint playing in Iceland.

Schweers left Ipswich last week with three major Basketball Queensland honours and four Force awards, including Most Valuable Player.

"You never question her effort. She always gives 100%,'' George said of the player who regularly inspired Force when needed most.

"She works hard. That's probably a reward for her effort.''

In her second season with Force, Schweers played a leading role in helping Ipswich reach another semi-final before the team fell one game short of the state league grand final.

She made the QBL All League team and was leading scorer. …
