NATIONAL Lampoons Vacation has the next generation in the driver's seat going across America in search of the ultimate family holiday.

And this version is cruder, ruder and, yes, a whole lot funnier than the 1983 original.

Economy air pilot, Rusty Griswold (Ed Helms) is determined to give his family a holiday to remember and a chance for them to draw closer to each other.

And what could be better than the Wally World theme park on the other side of the country where he went with his parents and sister (as in National Lampoons Vacation)?

But, being a long weekend, the only car for hire is a foreign version with a remote control no-one can quite decipher.
