Sunderland ...............................1 Manchester City ......................4 SUNDERLAND suffered another first-half meltdown as they crashed out of the Capital One Cup to Manchester City.

The Black Cats's shambolic defence conceded four times before the break as City ran riot at the Stadium of Light.

Sunderland have now conceded 17 goals in eight league and cup games this season - all of them coming in the first halves of those matches.

De Bruyne and Sterling then executed a neat one-two, with the Belgian collecting the ball inside the area on the left and beating Mannone at his near post from a tight angle.

The wheels came off for Sunderland in the 33rd minute as they conceded a shambolic third goal. …
