BUNDABERG'S Annette Goldsworthy made her first tilt at a Queensland title at the State Multi Disability Games at Aspley and starred in her big time competition debut.

Carving her way through the preliminary rounds it was going to take a lot to stop her in the finals and there was only one player good enough to halt the rampaging Goldsworthy.

Beaten in the semi-final by Serina Nichols, who went on to win the Queensland singles title, Goldsworthy was not disgraced, and instead she received an honour she didn't think was possible.

Just competing for a state title was a dream for Goldsworthy, she had no idea of what was coming her way.

After making an impression with the selectors Goldsworthy was picked as one of four women to wear the maroon of Queensland at the national titles.

The Burnett Bowls Club member is excited to have the chance to represent not only her state, but her home club and town as well. …
