MICHAEL NOLAN'S feat to win the inaugural Pat O'Shea Plate with Greyt Start at Clifford Park last Saturday earned him the final Chronicle-Clear Mountain Fairview Trainer Of The Week award for September. Nolan's performance also saw him take out the month award ahead of fellow September weekly winners Matt Kropp, Paul Facoory and Rex Lipp.

ATTEMPTING to set a horse for Australia's first two-year-old race of the season doesn't always end well.

So many pitfalls and scenarios can quickly jump up to bite you and bring the best laid plans crashing down.

But few moments are as sweet as pulling off that first-up mission as Michael Nolan again found out at Clifford Park last Saturday night when Greyt Start blazed to victory in the inaugural Pat O'Shea Plate.
