McNEILL DEREK GEORGE (Fencehouses). Formerly Chester-le-Street. Peacefully at home in the arms of his loving family, on September 29th, aged 74 years, after a long illness bravely borne with the upmost courage and dignity, adored and devoted husband of Mary (nee Newman), idolised dad of Derek and daughterin-law Kay, cherished grandad of Jack and Katie, dear son of the late Jack and Ivy, much loved brother, brother-inlaw, uncle, great uncle and friend to many. Could friends please meet at St. Mary's and St. Cuthbert's Church, Middle Chare, Chesterle-Street on Friday 16th October at 11.30am, interment at Ropery Lane Cemetery. Friends welcome afterwards at Chilton Country Pub, DH4 6PY. Private bus will be available adjacent to home address and then from Chester-le-Street Riverside car park, due to parking restrictions if required. Flowers welcome or donations in lieu if so desired to St. Benedict's Hospice, collection box in church. METCALFE EDNA (Whitley Bay). Peacefully at home on 5th October 2015, aged 95 years, Edna, beloved wife of the late Ewart. She will be sadly missed by all her family. Friends please meet for Funeral Service at Whitley Bay Crematorium on Thursday 15th October at 9.45am.

MILLS ROBERT NELSON (North Shields). Passed away peacefully in the R.V.I. following a short illness on 6th October 2015, aged 74 years, Rob, beloved husband of the late Maureen and loving dad of Karina. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Please meet for the Funeral Service at Tynemouth Crematorium on Friday 16th October at 12.45pm.

PATTINSON DORIS (Prudhoe). Peacefully in Red Brick House Care Home with her family by her side on 5th October, aged 87 years. Doris (Dot), beloved wife of the late Tom, loving mam of Joan, Ann and John, much loved mother-in-law, nana, great nana and great great nana. Would family and friends please meet for Funeral Service at St. Mary Magdalene Church, Prudhoe on Wednesday 14th October at 1.00pm followed by private cremation at Mountsett Crematorium. All welcome back for refreshments to British Legion Club, Prudhoe. Donations, if so desired, to Red Brick House Resident's Fund.

PEARSON MICHAEL (Ashington). Peacefully at home following a short illness bravely borne on 2nd October 2015, aged 54 years. Michael Richard (former Northumbria Police Superintendent), devoted husband of Sheila, a loving dad to Sophie, a dearly loved son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and nephew, much loved and admired by all who knew him. Requiem Mass at St. Roberts RC Church, Morpeth on Thursday 15th October at 11.30am, followed by private cremation, friends please meet at church, family flowers only but donations if desired to Ward 34, Freeman Hospital, Newcastle. …
