Analysis: Godsey worked with O'Brien in New England in 2011 and re-joined him last year with the Texans, serving as quarterbacks coach before being promoted to coordinator and play-caller during the off-season. Godsey was the running backs coach at Central Florida during Jaguars QB Blake Bortles' freshman year. ... The Texans have scored only 19 first-half points. ... QB Brian Hoyer is back in the saddle for at least the Jaguars game. He started in Week 1 but was benched for Ryan Mallett. Hoyer has a 96.8 rating, 62.1 completion percentage, five TDs and two INTs. ... RB Arian Foster is two games into his return from a groin injury and has 51 yards on 27 carries (1.9-yard average). His longest carry is seven yards. ... Alfred Blue filled in for Foster and still remains a part of the rotation and third-down back Jonathan Grimes is expected back from a hamstring injury. ... WR DeAndre Hopkins continues to shine in O'Brien's offense. He leads the NFL with 578 receiving yards and is second with 42 catches. ... Former Jaguars WR Cecil Shorts has 22 catches in four games. He sustained a dislocated shoulder against Atlanta in Week 4, missed the Colts game and did not practice Monday. ... The offensive line is LT Duane Brown, LG Oday Aboushi, C Ben Jones, RG Brandon Brooks and RT Derek Newton. Houston has 11 false start/holding penalties.

Analysis: The 68-year old Crennel became his coaching career in 1970 at Western Kentucky. From the Bill Parcells/Bill Belichick coaching tree, he's been a coordinator for Cleveland, New England and Kansas City and a head coach for the Browns and Chiefs. …
