Devised to celebrate music and food in a beautiful setting, the festival, which kicks off tonight and will continue to run over weekends throughout November, is now in its fifth year.

Heritage Opera will be taking responsibility for two fully staged productions of the classic operas Madame Butterfly and The Marriage of Figaro.

They will also be taking care of A Grand Night of Opera in Seville and Spain, which will offer a tour of all things Spanish, allowing audiences to immerse themselves in the music, food, and, of course, wine of the country.

The Three English Tenors will also make a welcome return to the festival, performing wellloved classics from all eras, including the heyday of opera right up to modern musical numbers.

The ultimate lovers of comic revue are likely to be thrilled to hear of the Gilbert and Sullivan element to proceedings.

The festival is pledging to "bring the best of G&S to life", in the shape of four experts in the field - ex-members of the legendary D'Oyly Carte Opera. …
