THEY are already subjected to medicals. How much more can they be demoralised and this stupid government want a big S plate on the back of them. How insulting! Concentrate on the 1 in 10 drivers testing positive to meth amphetamines, there's a bigger problem. And the speeding P platers passing on blind hills and corners. Leave the bloody oldies alone, they are far less a problem.

Put a tracker in their car to judge their driving. Put these in every car, then we will not need radar traps, and the police can spend more time catching criminals.

It will be just another revenue raiser for the state. It will give the coppers another reason to pull over a driver if there isn't one on display. I agree it will keep the road toll down as elderly drivers are just as bad as the drug taking, no exhaust system, driving enthusiast of a $500 Commodore. On their cars you could put a whole alphabet of plates that will not make one iota of difference because they do not give a toss for road rules or the public in general. …
