GAINESVILLE | Turnovers had been the least of Florida's problems this season.

They nearly cost them the game on Saturday in a sloppy 9-7 victory over Vanderbilt at The Swamp.

Quarterback Treon Harris, who had not turned the ball over all season, fumbled at the end of a 19-yard run to the Vanderbilt 18 in the second quarter; and was intercepted by strong safety Ryan White on a fourth-and-1 from the Commodores 43.

The Gators lost two other fumbles, one by freshman CeCe Jefferson in the second quarter after he took a shovel pass from holder Johnny Townsend on a fake field goal and rumbled for 7 yards and an apparent first down; and another by wide receiver Demarcus Robinson in the fourth quarter, after a 4-yard pass reception to the Vandy 15.

He's a good player, he cares, and hopefully he learns.''

Robinson seems to have difficulty holding on to the ball with his left hand u something Harris said Robinson's teammates ride him about in practice.

But Harris said he had no room to talk.

"I had some bad plays . …
