THE contribution from Simply Classical to Christmas is a concert themed simply Music for the Festive Season.

And what could be more festive than the sounds of the organ filling our beautiful St Patrick's Church at 2.30pm on Sunday, November 29.

Tim Williams is only 18 years old, but has already some impressive achievements to his name.

Tim started to play the organ at the tender age of eight.

In 2011, aged 14, he was the youngest recipient of the Walter Monz Organ Bursary, and in 2012 received a scholarship to the Sydney Summer Organ Academy, in which he got to play at the Sydney Opera House and perform in the Town Hall.

He is presently a student of internationally renowned Brisbane organist Christopher Wrench.

Here is a career in the making on the grandest of all instruments.

Not far behind where acoustics are concerned is the trumpet, with a performance from Gympie music teacher Brad Smith.

Anyone who has ever watched him conduct the stage band from James Nash State High School will be looking forward to something special from this dynamic teacher. …
