3 THINGS TO WATCH

1 TRUST THE CORNERBACKS

If there was ever a time for the Jaguars to play press-coverage outside and single safety in the middle of the field, it's Sunday. Receiver Steve Smith (Achilles tendon) is out for the year and the Ravens will be leaning on unheralded replacements. The Jaguars should trust their cornerbacks to lock down Kamar Aiken and Marlon Brown, allowing strong safety Johnathan Cyprien (above) to blitz more often.

2 RETURN TO AGGRESSIVENESS

After sending at least five pass rushers on 28 percent of the drop-backs in four consecutive games, the Jaguars blitzed Ryan Fitzpatrick only three times in 36 drop-backs (8.3 percent, tied for the New England game as the lowest rate of the year). The Jaguars should dial up more blitzes against Baltimore even though last year, they pressured only 11.8 of Joe Flacco's drop-backs (four of 34).

3 WIN ON FIRST-AND-10

Last week against the Jets, the Jaguars' offense ran 28 first-down snaps - 11 were losing plays (2 or fewer yards) and 10 were gains of at least 10 yards. Less of the bad and maintaining the good will keep the Jaguars on the field against a struggling Baltimore defense and maybe allow them to play more up-tempo.

GAME PLAN

WHEN THE JAGUARS RUN

T.J. Yeldon's season-high 45-yard run against the Jets allowed him to push his per-carry-average to 4.1 yards. The Jaguars have only one rushing touchdown in eight games and 191 attempts. The Ravens have a good defensive front, ranking 10th against the rush (99.8 yards per game) and have allowed only five touchdowns this year. Nose tackle Brandon Williams (right) is a solid anchor for the Ravens.

WHEN THE JAGUARS PASS

The Jaguars' offense has a quarterback (Blake Bortles) on pace for 4,400 yards passing and 34 touchdowns and two receivers (Allen Robinson and Allen Hurns, right) on pace for 1,000-plus yards. …
