Taking advantage of playing last Thursday, Jaguars coach Gus Bradley adjusted his team's schedule to account for Thanksgiving this Thursday.

Instead of using Monday as a bonus practice, Bradley limited the players to weightlifting and conditioning.

And instead of the usual Wednesday-Friday practice schedule, he put the players on a Tuesday-Wednesday-Friday work week, giving them the holiday off.

"It's been good for the health of our team," Bradley said. "The guys came back and were animated through practice and we were competitive, going back to [doing] one-on-ones."

The Jaguars didn't wear pads during the two-hour workout Tuesday and Bradley liked what he saw.

"Sometimes, when you have time off, that [bonus] Monday [practice], it takes some time for them to get going, but not [Tuesday]," he said.

Said linebacker Paul Posluszny: "It was three days to rest and recover and get ready for the final stretch."

The final stretch begins Sunday against a 2-8 San Diego team that has lost six straight games. Teams that played on a Thursday night have an 11-9 record playing the next week on long rest. New England and Pittsburgh have played two Thursday games and are a combined 4-0 the next week.

- Left guard Zane Beadles was evaluated for a concussion after getting hit on the Jaguars' final offensive play against Tennessee. But he has been cleared for practice. "Pretty much when I woke up the next day, the symptoms were gone and I've been feeling pretty good since then and going through the protocol," he said.

- Defensive tackle Michael Bennett (hamstring) has missed two straight games. He said he pushed too hard to be ready for Tennessee and experienced a setback, but practiced Tuesday and is expected to be available Sunday. …
