YOU couldn't meet a more hard working police crew than the team at the North Rocky station.

"The duties conducted by officers from North Rockhampton over the last 12 months has been exceptional. The amount of work undertaken by this small work unit is outstanding and their dedication and commitment to their duties is second to none," the station's officer in charge, Senior Sergeant Ben Carroll, said.

And he's provided some impressive figures to back up his claim.

In the past 12 months, the team, which consists of 37 permanent officers and is responsible for policing a population of around 47,000 people, has responded to 8828 calls for service, conducted 9527 RBTs, handled 636 incidences of domestic violence and attended 192 traffic crashes (check out the fact box for full numbers). …
