Christmas Cup a Big Treat for Racing Fans

THE final greyhound event for the year will be held today at Thabeban Park with the club making it their open day.

Entry to the day will be free for all patrons with plenty of activities held for the kids and family throughout the day.

There are also eight races on the program including the Christmas Cup and maiden events including the NewsMail Cup in race two.

Bundaberg Greyhound Club president Stephen Bland said the day was aimed at providing everyone with the chance to enjoy some racing and trackside fun.

"We want to attract families and kids to our event and it will be a great way to end our year with our Christmas Day at the races," Bland said.

"We will have plenty of attractions including a free sausage sizzle, jumping castle, and a chance to pet some of the greyhounds.

"The Bundaberg firefighters will also have a display with their trucks. It promises to be a good day."

The racing is also set to entertain with close races expected throughout the day. …
