Peach Bowl Notebook; Players Make Stop at College Hall of Fame

ATLANTA | One of the highlights of Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl week was a visit to the College Football Hall of Fame late Saturday. Players from Florida State and Houston not only got to see exhibits of the game's greatest players, some admitted they have dreams of someday joining some of their former teammates.

Florida State was represented by players Fred Biletnikoff, Ron Sellers, Ron Simmons and Charlie Ward and coaches Bobby Bowden and Darrell Mudra. Houston was represented in the hall by players Andre Ware and Wilson Whitley and coach Bill Yeoman.

"Hopefully, I can be in the College Football Hall of Fame, as well as some of my teammates," FSU cornerback Jalen Ramsey said.

The hall is in the shadows of the Georgia Dome where the two teams will play Thursday afternoon in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl.

Seminoles running back Dalvin Cook was eager to see Herschel Walker's display. While he's not old enough to have seen Walker play in person, he has watched old video of the bruising running back from Georgia.


Florida State and Houston will complete their workouts ahead of Thursday's Peach Bowl game inside the Georgia Dome.

Recent flash floods and a forecast of daily rain throughout the week prompted FSU to move away from Georgia Tech's outside facility and Houston away from Georgia State.


Linebacker Reggie Northrup probably is relieved to know his role at Florida State is to play linebacker, not lip sync.

The linebacker from First Coast High fumbled through his version of "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" in a special off-field challenge late Saturday with Houston.

Counting a win in the milk shake-making competition, the Cougars took a 2-0 lead in one of several activities leading up to Thursday's Peach Bowl. …
