THIS year is shaping up to be a busy one for Sam McClymont.

One third of the Grafton-raised country music trio The McClymonts, Sam has embarked on her first starring TV role as the new host of rural dating show The Farmer Wants A Wife.

This year also marks the 10-year anniversary since The McClymonts released their debut EP and the sisters will celebrate the milestone with a national tour in July and August.

The group famously got its start after Universal Records discovered eldest sister Brooke at the Gympie Muster in 1997.

"I feel old but I'm not," Sam laughed.

"So much has changed since we were 20-year-olds. Alcohol has been replaced with formula."

Sam is a proud auntie to Brooke's daughter Tiggie and their younger sister Mollie is expecting her first child in March.

"For us it's always Christmas, then the craziness of Tamworth (Country Music Festival) and then we're straight into rehearsals for the tour," Sam told APN. …
