Friend of Man Who Died in North Stabbing Pays Tribute

A STUNNED friend of stab victim Reece Allen has paid tribute to his tragic pal.

Lee Miller is still coming to terms with the fact that he will never again see his childhood mate, who was knifed to death in the street early on Monday morning.

And, as police continue to question two murder suspects, Lee has told of his devastation. The 27yearold said: "He was a great lad and now I'm never going to see him again.

"It's just so pointless, He was only young. He was one of my best mates, I was with him every day. I just wish I was with him when it happened so I could help him. I'm heartbroken."

Reece, 24, died in Newcastle's Royal Victoria Infirmary at around 5.20am, two hours after the stabbing outside a house on West Avenue in North Shields. It is thought he had earlier been at a house on nearby Heaton Terrace, which he shares with his mum Sylvia. …
