What year did you turn professional?

I am originally from Brisbane, and played the majority of my junior golf at Pacific Golf Club.

I turned pro in 2007.

How was your progression to professional golf?

I started playing golf when I was 13 and stepped away from the game when I was 18.

I played rugby league at Easts in Brisbane and did not pick up a club for 10 years.

When I started up again I managed to get my handicap down to two but then stopped again for another eight years.

I took golf up again when I moved to the Gold Coast and went from there.

How did you find yourself in Gympie?

I knew I wanted to be a head professional somewhere and I had looked at Gympie in the last year of my professional traineeship.

When did you take over as pro?

In 2013 and the goal is to stay here long term. …
