Hancock to Help out the Border Bushrangers Under-18 Side before TRL Debut

RUGBY LEAGUE: The Border Bushrangers under-18 squad will welcome home current Brisbane Broncos game development officer Mick Hancock for a BRL U18 Development Camp this weekend.

Hancock played for the Stanthorpe Gremlins in the late 1980s before moving on to an illustrious career with the Brisbane Broncos, Queensland Maroons and Australian Kangaroos.

He will be joined by high performance coaches Jim Stevens from the NRL and former Queensland Cup player Damian Petrie, who will be passing on their in-depth knowledge to the U18 players who are currently preparing for their inaugural season in the TRL.

U18 players from Stanthorpe, Tenterfield, Texas, Inglewood, Millmerran and Killarney have joined forces to be part of this wonderful BRL initiative.

Registrations are progressing well at www.playnrl.com

U18 head coach Peter Brannigan is hoping for a good attendance at the camp to help prepare the players for the rigours of the TRL and 22 rounds of rugby league. …
