CONTRARY to what the scientists from the large companies run by fat cats sitting in their armchairs of fancy offices might have you believe, there's actually more to hydrating well than consuming copious amounts of the latest and greatest product to reach the sports drink aisle.

It's Wednesday, you've just finished a 90-minute, mod-hard intensity ride out in the rolling hills, it's now 8am and you forgot to have a drink before you left. I'm willing to bet that by mid-morning, you might be feeling a little tired, maybe a bit headachy, have foggy eyes and now you're in catch-up mode.
