A THIRTY-eight-year-old Diddillibah father-of-two has turned Division 7 into a battle of four.

Daniel Bryar will contest Division 7 for The Greens, throwing himself against Mike Deans, radio presenter Cam Young and sitting councillor Ted Hungerford.

Mr Bryar, a Bachelor of Technology and Masters of International Studies holder, said if successful he would be advocating for entrepreneurship and enhancing the Coast's digital economy.

A self-described tech head, Mr Bryar said he was keen to see digital markets grow on the Coast and added he would be standing for responsible development, improving access to clean energy and pushing for greater transparency and accountability from the council.

On a local level, he said the public transport servicing his division needed improvement, as well as more fenced-in parklands for young families to allow children to play safely.

"It's terrible public transport. It's all Maroochydore-centric," Mr Bryar said. …
