What will you do with this year's Wish money? We want to take part in a large district international camping event to celebrate the centenary of Cub Scouts. For this we need to update some of our camping equipment so that is what we will spend any money received from Wish on.

Tell us about your group. The group has been established for approximately 40 years and is staffed completely by volunteers. We have two leaders, two trainees and five occasional helpers. Our only income is from parents and donations. Who does your group help? Our programme of activities and events is for all children aged eight to 11 years. We currently have 12 children with room for more at our weekly Wednesday evening meetings. Who is the longest serving member of your group? Ann Watts has been involved for 60 years. Ann and Harry Watts established this group and still support it every week.

What would it mean to your group to receive support from Wish? 2016 is the 100th year of Cub Scouting and we want to live up to the ideals of giving the Cubs experience of the outdoors, interacting with others, helping others, gaining confidence and reaching their potential and this will be a unique and memorable chance to do that. …
