Conte Can Net PS4.75m a Year at Bridge and That's after Tax

CHELSEA are prepared to offer Antonio Conte a three-year deal worth PS4.75million-a-season after tax to lure him to Stamford Bridge.

Standard Sport revealed last week the Italy coach had become the leading contender after holding talks with the club.

Sources in Italy suggest that Conte's representatives are flying into London today for more negotiations, although Chelsea have not confirmed this.

Chelsea's proposed salary, which does not include bonuses for winning silverware and meeting various targets, would be a significant increase on the PS3.6m-a-year before tax that Conte earns with Italy.

The 46-year-old's deal with the Italian federation the FIGC expires after Euro 2016.

Standard Sport revealed yesterday that they are resigned to the former Juventus boss leaving his position following the tournament.

President of the FIGC, Carlo Tavecchio, continues to put on a brave front in public with Conte scheduled to discuss his position with them next month.

Tavecchio said: "There is no news about the coach's future. This means that for us nothing has changed."

The move to appoint the Italian has gathered support at Chelsea because they know he will definitely be available.

Simeone is also fully focused on helping Atletico challenge this season for La Liga honours and the Champions League and is not willing to discuss a potential move to Stamford Bridge until the end of the campaign.
