Former Chelsea Doctor in Mourinho Row Arrives with Husband for 'Sacking' Case

FORMER Chelsea team doctor Eva Carneiro arrived at a tribunal today for her constructive dismissal case against the Premier League club.

She held hands with her husband, polar explorer Jason De Carteret, before heading into the London South employment tribunal in Croydon.

A private hearing was taking place before a judge, during which the parties could agree a settlement.

This would allow them to forgo a public hearing, which could see former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho called to give evidence.

Dr Carneiro was dropped from firstteam duties after Mourinho criticised her and physio Jon Fearn for going on to the pitch to treat Eden Hazard on the opening day of the season in August.

It meant Chelsea temporarily went down to nine men against Swansea. The match, at Stamford Bridge, ended in a 2-2 draw. Afterwards, Mourinho called Dr Carneiro and Fearn "impulsive and naive".

Dr Carneiro, 42, did not appear on the bench again for first-team duties and later parted company with the club. …
