Council Hopefuls Face Anxious Wait for Final Numbers Count; Crs Carol Taylor and Nancy Sommerfield Hold Early Lead

SLOW counting means the region is no closer to finding out who will make up the 10 councillors on Toowoomba Regional Council.

Geoff McDonald had a late surge finishing the day on 2953.

Newcomer James O'Shea 2798 and Megan O'Hara Sullivan 2785 made up the top five.

Deputy Mayor Mike Williams 2603, Joe Ramia 2466, Chris Tait 2453, Bill Cahill 2445 and Anne Glasheen also made the top 10.

Trailing close behind were Tressa Lindenberg 2120, David Campbell 1986, Craig Stibbard 1857 and Chris McGaw 1827.
